Ok here is the deal. I got a 91 std hatch. Im going to buy the full front and rear brakes off a da including the 4040 this weekend, for $150. My first question is, are the fronts really worth it? or should i just stick with the rear conversion? My other question is should i get the brake booster and master cylinder to, or should i use the crx si mc/bb i have in the garage? All opinions will be appreciated. And yes i did search, just want opinions. Thanks

 

the fronts are worth it...bigger brakes are always better...u can upgrade to ITR or GSR calipers and even go with the 11" brake upgrade...that's a sweet deal.

Yes, you want the booster and MC (260v is non abs/290v is ABS you will need the rear line fitting). That is a no brainer. Whenever you are swapping out brakes you want to use as many pieces from that system as possible. You would put a TL fender on a CRX would you?

Rear disc only gives you the advantage of being able to service the brakes quicker/easier.

And in the end you are going to do what you want anyways.
