I Just wanted to share my review on a stock replacement exhaust that does not break the bank. All of the local auto parts stores have quoted me 400$ and up for a stock cat back exhaust. For that much money I could buy a nice aftermarket performance exhaust. This car is just a daily driver though plus I really hate the look of a fart can on a 94-97 accord. So I looked into a website that I have bought two exhausts from previously. One for a 95 civic and another for a 91 geo metro.
The company is Macautoparts.net , I have a 97 accord dx but I went ahead and bought the accord ex exhaust(looks better with the two tail pipes and hopefully a little more free flowing). It came out to about 180-190 shipped. If you buy from their ebay store on friday you get half off of shipping
. The exhausts for the geo and civic I purchased in the past went for 120-130$ so im not really sure why the accords exhaust was so much more but it still seemed like a pretty good deal.
My old exhaust system has had a steady increasing hole in it since spring and for the last couple of months it has been unbearable.
This is the new exhaust as it came in the other day. The previous exhausts have come in boxes but this shipped like this, not a big deal and nothing really got beat up. all of the ends were wrapped and padded pretty well.

I was very happy to see that the rear section came in black because I was planning to paint it black when I got it. It looks scratched up but thats mostly just dirt from me moving it around in the grass.

The midpipe looks very similar to stock and comes with the stock style flex pipe.

This is both mufflers side by side, notice the beefy support where the muffler meets the pipe.

The install was pretty straight forward, The old exhaust appeared to be original and to anyone who has taken off a 11 year old exhaust you know how fun this part was
. lots of liquid wrench and I got all the bolts loose. The old midpipe did not appear to have any leaks but I went ahead and changed it out anyways. The new exhaust came with gaskets and new bolts and springs for the rear section but did not come with nuts and washers to attach the midpipe to the cat. I was able to reuse two of them however and I had another nut laying around so no big deal. If you do end up doing this be aware that you may have to make a run to the hardware store to pick up a few nuts.
Overall fitment was good, there was a problem however where the midpipe meets the rear section. the flange is very close to the heat shield and I anticipate that this will cause an annoying rattle. It was getting dark however so i didnt mess with it. In the future I am probably going to cut the last foot or so of heat shield off so it doesnt rattle. Also the flanges where the midpipe and rear section meet where slightly off but this was not a big deal, the two bolts went in with a little bit of elbow greast. and this is what the final product looks like(the paint missing from the ends of the tail pipes is from me dragging it around in rocks in the driveway).

Overall I give this product a 8.5 out of 10
good
good people to work with
shipped reasonably fast
looks like a good quality product
inexpensive compared to other options
Bad
fitment where the midpipe and rear section go together could be better
May need to trim a small piece of the heat shield.
Im not endorsing this company or anything but just thought I would give a heads up to you guys looking for a stock replacement exhaust for accords or any car actually.

Nice write up. Next time you need an exhaust, come up to Pennsylvania. I get my stuff done at this place owned by some amish folks. I got a cat convertor, new piping and new muffler installed all for $150 on my integra. Now that's a deal!

yeah just standard nuts and bolts. make sure to soak them a couple of times in pb-blaster or wd-40 for a few days before you try to get them off.
On a side note having an exhaust without massive leaks has improved my average gas mileage about two more miles per gallon.
