how do you take out the air filter resonator?
I don't remember exactly, its been a while, but i know that it involves at least partially removing the pass. side wheel well cover to remove a couple of bolts from underneath the resonator. Shouldn't be too tough, just get underneath there and look for em.

Yes it is a big black plastic box that is behind the bumper in the fender and under the wheel house sill. There are a few bolts that you will need to remove from the plastic splash shield on the bottom as well as the plastic wheel well cover in order to get the resonator box out of the fender/bumper.
I did this along time ago on my current car. You need to take out the plastic wheel well splash guard and remove all the bolts holding the intake silencer in. It adds power and makes it sound better. But make you a little more vulnerable to heavy rain.
