theft proof crx..
This will be a detailed write up on how to make your crx 100% theft proof... What will be included in this is a sparco steering wheel with locking hub, fuel cut off switch, ign. cut switch, and keyless ignition... Basically what im doing is taking out the key cylinder completely and moving all the ignition and starter wires to the top of the firewall while the dash is out and hooking them up to a python 1090. Next i will ground the brakeswitch wire, and use a bitwriter so when im programming the brain of the remote start i can set the runtime to unlimited.. Then all of the ignition and starter wires will be very well hidden and tucked far up under the dash.
Im going to start on it saturday, and hopefully finish by saturday night. Ill take plenty of pics and put a lot of details out there for you guys. I work at circuit city in wayne and now that remote start season is coming to a close i have a lottt of spare time to come up with time consuming ideas like this one.
Has any body had experience with this type of ign set up before?

Yeah the only way you're going to keep your car from being stolen is rig up some sort of motion sensitive bomb inside that would blow up if the wind blew.... Good idea on theft deterrents though.

Even if they do tow it i can track the brain from my laptop so i can practically follow them to where theyre going. And then politely ask for my car back without the use of firearms
But without a tow truck this will be theft proof. It will take somebody an hour just to figure out whats going on in the car, than at least another 2 hours to find my cut off switches and actually get to the wires behind the dash to start. And my shock sensor will allow me to be there in 2 minutes. Then ill shave the locks off the doors this way you can only unlock and lock from the remote. And ill lock him in till i roll up with a mad ball and bring out my demons on this poor bastard.
My hat now. Totally my hat.

I kid you not. My rex was sitting on jack stands while I waited for some parts. I come home and the car was stolen. If somebody really wants to steal your stuff......they will. ( I got the car back in one piece with no damage)

I've been putting alot of money in my car ever since i swapped the motor in it. And now even more that I'm doin a 600HP+ build.
Well the car is almost done and i live in an apartment (which means no garage)
so security is one of my priorities.
1- removable wheel
2- alarm
3- Storage unit
4- And last a GPS Snitch. Once the GPS is armed (inside the car of course) and is moved it will send you a text and/or e-mail telling you thats its moving, a map on how to get there with time and everything you can imagine
i think its pretty sweet
but yeah it sucks that we have to invest all this money because of stupid thieves out there.
oh well gotta do what you gotta go

Hate to tell you but Anyone can block a GPS unit from tracking a car. GPS sucks...LOJACK is only proven because it doesnot use GPS but rather FM radio signals which can't be blocked

You can enter a crx simply by popping off the B Pillar cover and hitting the lockbar rod with a thin solid object look at coverthose some how. (or they can brake the window if you dont ohave that crazy tent that wont allow the glass to break forgot what its called.

I did a little research on the LOJACK and it seems like its the best option to go with
I will keep researching on it but i already made the decision on not to get the GPS
appreciate your input. and was good knowledge before the car hit the streets.

To the OP; your ideas are great but it could be argued that you're wasting your money because while what you're doing is enough to stop amateur thieves - it still is no match for a tow truck. I am an advocate of LoJack and would try that before anything else. Just my $.02

If flat beds are the problem. Drive around and find the unmarked ones(which are probably thieves) and take out the trucks. Problem solved for a few days. Then when they see that honda owners are striking back, they might reconsider stealing hondas. Just a thought, since the police do not care.
By the way, lojack does work.
By the way, lojack does work.
GPS works by LoS ( line of sight). if the GPS transponder is blocked by something ( ie: bridge, parking garage, etc) it will distort the signal. This is why LoJack uses the FM signal.
