Default Painting IC Piping and Cuplings...

I've been sitting here with this turbo kit in my apt up at school since August and I've been itching to do something to it. I want to paint the piping and IC gunmetal or a darkish gray, and paint the cuplinks Firepepper Red. Has anyone done this before or attempted it? I'm guessing scuff it, prime it, wet sand it(?), then paint... The cuplinks are what I am more concerned about, being round and rubberish, I was thinking as soon as the paint is dried, when I go to install the kit, stretching the rubber around the piping will cause the paint to peel or crack. Also if the heat from the engine would be a concern?

Like I said, I'm more concerned with the "cuplinks". Thanks for trying though.

it's "couplings" not " cuplinks"...lol Most likely the paint will chip off them since they are very flexible. If anything, try using vynil/ interior paint.

Don't paint the couplings. Powder coating would be the way to go if you want to paint all the piping.

Paint it with Automotive paint. I have done many intakes and VC that way and never had an issue.
