Default should I step up to 25inchers?

Right now, I'm currently have 24.5x8x13 MT slicks on my bogarts. My new motor should be ready by mid July or a little later. I'm hoping for around 400-450whp with around 20 some pounds of boost.

Do you guys think I would be ok with the 24.5" or should I go up to a 25" from M&H?

I would keep that size slick if it were me. I have considerable more power then that and still run the 24 talls.....Mike
Actually I just saw you only have the 8 wides. Maybe you should step up to the 24.5 by 9.5 wides? Give you a little more foot patch. Thats the size we run.

I was thinking abotu taht too, but I'm not sure if my axles would take the beating of the fatter, wider slicks..

I currently use DSS stage 3

IMHO, it's not about the width, it's the height that hurts you. You could hook that combo with 22x9's but depending on rpms, might have to shift into 5th gear.

yeah, it depends on your gearing. shoot for the top of your powerband in 4th gear. tire size, tranny, final drive, and rev limit all control where you will be when you go through the traps. depending on your rev limit, with 425 hsp to the wheels, and 25 inch tires, you could run a type r tranny. or run a gsr tranny with 24" tires. you NEVER wanna be in 5th gear through the traps.......but you also don't wanna be at like 6000 rpms in 4th (with a say a 9000 rev limit). takes alittle testing.
