Default What clutch do I need?

89 CRX Si D15B2 engine #3309080 and trans #L3-1372471, obviously the motor was replaced... not a D16. Is there any way to know what clutch to buy for this motor without having to pull the transmission? This is a daily driver and can't afford to have it down in case the clutch has to be ordered. This is a car I just sold and I'm trying to help the guy out.

Use the clutch that matches your transmission. If you have the '89 transmission, an 89-91 clutch/flywheel setup will work.

My problem IS I don't know what year this engine/transmission is from. Obviously it has been swapped at some point because the Si came with a D16, not a D15. I have tried to search, but came up with no definative answer.

well you know the tranny code right? search just the transmission code and that should tell you what you need to know. if that turns up fruitless then you could go to a dealer and find out.

compare you speed at rpm to one of many trans calculators, if you have SI gears, you probably have the SI trans that came with your car
