Default Help!! -3.9 rear camber!!

I just installed some skunk2 Pro-s coilovers on a 99 civic ex. I went to go get the alignment (get the toe set to zero) and the shop is talking about I need to buy a camber kit, and some more stuff. total cost $930!!! I have about a 2.5 inch drop all around. Do I need all of this stuff?? Can I just raise it a bit and be OK?? Please help! My read-outs are:

Camber: Left front: -1.4 Right front: -1.7 Left Rear: -3.9 Right Rear: -3.1
Toe: Left front: -0.07 Right Front: -0.12 Left Rear: -0.02 Right Rear: 0.20
Also 14" rims with slight tire tuck

Go to a different shop; preferably one experienced with modified cars. If you have to pay more, so be it.

You're going to need to get that toe fixed ASAP before you ruin the tires.

You may want to use some washers to shim the rear control arm and reduce the camber. You don't have to eliminate it, but you will want to reduce it some and even it out a little bit. Don't touch the front camber.

definantly get a second opinion. I hate shops, thats why i do it my self and align my car in class for free. But when you cant do that its always good to know people in shops to get the truth about whats going on. anyways goodluck getting it done right.

Toe kills your tires, not camber. Zero out your toe and be sure to rotate your tires every so often. Your tires will last its lifetime.

BTW, that shop is just trying to rip you off. You don't need a camber kit. Do the washer trick for the rear and you're good to go.

Like others had said, go to a different shop.

The washer trick does help, and it's a cheapest way to fix your camber, but getting a camber kit is easier in tuning, both way will work...totally your call... I'm having a Blox camber kit for my 96 4 doors... -1.5 for left and right rear with 15"wheels...i'm happy about it.

As the other ppl said, 0 your toe... funky toe setting can just kill you tires in months, and too much negative camber degrees can also killing your tires faster.

-3.9 rear camber is way too much for normal street driving....get it fixed bro.
