Need help, suspension woes
Alright, I have an 88 CRX that is still riding on factory suspension. It is getting ready to be replaced in the next few weeks with all new components. But for the time current I would like to fix the main problem.
The car is still factory height, but the passenger side tire is tilted in. Much like the rear would normally do on a lowered car. I believe this would be camber not toe, due to it only being one side is off.
Do you adjust this via the tie rod ends? I want to get it alot closer so I can drive the car without worries right now, intill my new components get in.
If anyone has a thred showing adjustment of this it would be great!
Also does this sound like a good setup for replaceent of the OEM stuff.
Tokiko HP struts with springs 1.75 drop front 2in drop rear.
New Inner and outter tie rods
New upper contol arms.
New end rack bushing
New ball joint
new front sway bar links.

also if you just want better handling then you don't have to drop it so much just a little lower than stock is best for handling. but if you just want looks...
Not looking for just looks.
Just ordered today....
New Upper control arms, Inner and outter tie rod ends, Ball Joints, Sway bar bushings, Radius arm bushings
New Hasport Shift linkage (not suspension relater sorry)

I would also look into rear trailing arm bushings-if they are the originals, they most certainly are worn. I would also look into lower ball joints for the front knuckles as well.
Yes, I am getting the front lower ball joints, the passenger side is completly flat, Probably why im cambered so bad at factory height.
I will look at the trailing arm bushings tomorrow and see, probably need replaced and might as well just order them

Tie rods, upper ball joints, and lower ball joints will fix the camber issue on the alignment rack... but if it persists, and it most likely will to a lesser degree, you'll need to replace the front LCA bushings too.
If that doesn't do it, then something is bent.

Tierods wont cause a camber issue there a directional control component. Also look into a camber kit or your going to eat up tires. Omni makes a front and eibach has a good rear, as well as omni.
I will post the spec of my alignment when I get it done, just ordered al my stuff and I know I wont work on it next weekend. SO it will be 2 weeks or so before the suspension goes on and I get an alignment. Hopefully things are fixed after it gets all these goodies. I will into a lower control arm bushing too
