Default How do I reduce rattles behind head unit (dash) ?

I hear rattle sounds behind the dash after installing an aftermarket headunit. This is probabley caused by several rca wires, wiring harness, and alpine's little plastic box that connects to the power wire. When these things touch the metal or plastic inside the dash, it causes the noise.

Question: - What can I wrap all this stuff up with so that it absorbs any noise and doesnt rattle?? (already tried electric tape - didnt work)

Are you sure it's that stuff making the noise? I would think electrical tape would have helped.

Im pretty sure, I have had this problem before just never got around to doing anything about it.

Maybe I will try wrapping everything in wireloom and then wrapping that up in electical tape. I am sure that the tape I added before did help some but not enough for my liking. I try to do everything on my car to perfection. I dont like half-*** jobs.

I like weatherstripping, it's pretty good for stopping rattles.

I'm talking about the foamy kind that's a strip, it's sticky on one side

Yeah any hardware store will have the weather stripping. If you sure that's were the noise is coming from that is what I would try first.
