the k20a is also based off all other k seriers type r motors, whereas ours is based of a k24(TSX, ACCORD). Also we do have a balance shaft, that the k20a does not have! Leading us to loose about 5-8 HP to the ground! soo, im just guessing but im sure Mugen just buys a normal type r from honda and goes JDM pimp my ride on it, haha

I am sure he is right. The k20z3 has balance shafts, and the k20a does not.

Oh yes i looked it up you're correct...
However we don't know if that means that the k20a is less balanced and thus they fixed it on the k20z3 by adding balance shafts ah well dumb thread goodbye

Im pretty sure mugen know their stuff, and would have a reason for going with a k20a over the other k20 models.

K20A has been around alot longer so they were able to "work" on it more....experiment! Test and tune...

I believe the euro R is the K20Z4. different intake manifold i think is the only difference.

Also, the Mugen RR is bored over to 2157cc I believe... may be wrong there. So technically its a K22 :D
