99 Honda Civic check engine light blinking!

99 Honda Civic check engine light blinking!
I have never had a problem with my car. Started it this morning getting off work and the check engine light started blinking. It has come on once before and just stayed on solid when i didnt close my gas lid and click 3-4 times. Now it comes on and blinks off and on. Has trouble picking up speed and feels like front end is jumping? Feels like i have lost compression is hard to pick up and go. Any suggestions?
