Please sign the petition and it'll help get a drag strip/race track built in long island new york. They were gonna build it but now the idea has changed to a stupid *** ski mountain. Ooh! Is it going to be one of those new indoor ski mountains? I think they're building one in Dallas area too.

Yeah...as neat as it would be, I don't foresee much success there. Tracks have enough trouble in the country, I can't imagine a well-established suburban community would be down for that kind of change.

Having a local track ALWAYS cuts down on illegal street racing. Even if only a drag strip is built and not a road course, im definately a fan of this.

 

1. even when there was a drag strip, there was still tons of street racing here on long island. so i dont know who's trying to kid who with that argument.
2. the tax payers of long island, especially out in said area, will not let a racetrack (that brings crowds of people from everywhere, more traffic and noise) come about. it would ruin there hamptons, monexpletive experience.
i was still a little guy, but i remember the demize of Bridgehampton. so i know dam well how it works. place is a pritty sick looking golf course now
i hate to say it, but it realy is a waste of time.
