I have a '94 Accord DX Coupe with automatic transmission & about 116,000 miles on it. I bought it used last year & the lady said she always got it fixed at the dealer. The thing is 3 days ago I was driving when when the car was switching from 2nd to 3rd geat the RPM's went all the way up to almost the red mark! I took my foot off the gas and tried again a couple times before it went into gear. Does anyone know what is happening here? Do I need a new tranny or is this something easy to fix? Thanks!

 

I would replace the TCU with a used one.
