Looking to possibly go d16z6 and Greddy IC if I can't get ahold of a gsr swap in the next few days.

What kind of times do you 92-95 hatch guys run with what mods?

I used to have a 92 dx hatch with a 93 d16z6 swap and it ran a 15.2 at IRP. I'm hoping with my light vx, no ac/ps, greddy turbo w/ic, greddy exhaust it should run mid to low 14's. I stress *hope*!

What's your guys opinion? Thanks again!

A freind of mine had the Greddy Kit on his 97 EX. With 17" Konig Toxxins, a small ten box and 9lbs of boost, he was able to have a best time of 14.2 on these street tires, he would average mid 14's. Personally, I really love the way the car drove on the street. When he got on it from a roll, the car would just torque steer and go. Fuel wise, he using a Jackson racing FMU, B& M Regulator, and a 255lph high pressure pump.

 

I have Greddy Turbo Kit with Greddy IC... NO black or blue box... IT run great without blue or black box.. I ran 14.5 with 5 pound of boost. It had Centerforce clutch, Greddy Evo and street tire with 12 PSI... NOW I have ACT extreme with SS clutch, Apex N1, and Profec B.. I crank up to 9 pound... I will go track soon and let u know the time...

A guy at the track ran a 13.7 on street tires in his CX Hatch with the Greddy and a Intercooler. Oh yea he added a bigger head gasget. No internal upgrades. Running 8psi.

 

WOw that was tight... I need thick headgasket like Inline Pro.. Hopefully I can run high 13..

 

my friend ran a high 13 in his '91 CRX Si w/ d16z6 and Greddy kit intercooled....I know its an EF but just thought i would post it..stock internals...the only thing he has done was the swap from a '95 ex...then turboed it...here is a pic of it...

Are you talking about a teal one(now its silver) with SE-R wheels and a skinny blavk kid driving at Orlando MSW? If so thats Elton and his best time is 13.6 @106 on street tires w/system and TVs still in there. He recently sold the kit and put a Nitrous exspress kit on it.

 

You got it!! He sounds like he's from the Islands. He did the work him self. Pretty cool guy too. I couldn't believe it when I saw his times!! So I had to go talk to him and he popped the hood and Blam SOHC with a Turbo!!! NICE!!!

you guys continue to shine light on my sohc turbo project...wow...13.6 at 8 psi...wish i could hit that, but I probobally wont. Anyway, Im planning to put in eagle rods, a nuformz block guard and havent decided on what kind of pistons to use...any suggestions on my plans and how many pounds I should be able to run (with upgraded fuel and engine management)?

 

Yeah hes from the Islands. The shop where he works are all Jamaican(sp). Cool people and they all love to race

 

i know that dragII was putting down close to 190hp or so with his old sohc. i'm not sure what turbo he was running.

 

Where's the shop located? You wouldn't happen to know if a guy name Fitz works there do you ?

 

RNK racing/RAM's Auto in Palmbay. They both Family owned and connected. The parents have the auto repair and the son(Rob) has the speed shop. I dont know of a Fitz.
