dc2 shifter in a d16z6 ef hatch?
It will fit with a little work...
First you must push out the shifter bushing in the bottom of both shifters (the pin with the o-rings on it that the bolt goes through) the dc2 bushing will be much longer and will not fit in the d-series linkage..so you will have to use the stock d-series bushing in the dc2 double bend shifter,
Second- after you have taken out the bushings out you will need to remove the plastic caps on either end of the bushing hole.. There are 2 small plastic bushing caps that keep tension on the shifter bushing... save them if you can. If not..just buy them new at honda.. they are like 4 bucks a piece or something...
Third- you must cut the lower part of the dc2 shifter down (the part that the metal bushing and bolt go through) to fit in the d series linkage and to accept the d-series metal bushing pin. Once it is cut to look just like the stock d-series shifter on the bottom...re-install the little plastic caps and stock d-series pin into the dc2 shifter and youre golden..
wish I had pics...sorry do not
Ive done it a few times.. Its also optional to install new o-rings on the metal bushing..They do wear out over time.. might as well
