How are they in the snow? What are your reactions to the 4wd system or VTM as they call it? Compared to AWD systems?

I've driven mine locally in up to 6 inches of snow on the streets- Never had to lock VTM-4, performed great.

I've also taken mine up hunting near Canada on the trails in the snow. Locked VTM-4 one time on a pretty steep climb. Performed great.

Never driven an AWD vehicle so I can't compare one to the VTM-4 system.

The awd system is seamless... it just works when it's supposed to. No lockers, no buttons, and no fancy lights, which is why it's great for my wife/family or as a daily driver. VTM only works in 1st and Reverse up to 12 mph (or so), so it's no rock crawler, but that's not what it's for.
