Only H22A4 pistons will work. If you are trying to get out as cheap as possible.

unless you want to have the rods rebushed to run a floating wrist pin then you can either use h22a4 pistons and type S h22 pistons. The type S will raise your compression to 11:1.

you can purchase the pistons and rings through an online honda wholesale dealer.

out of curiosity, what was wrong with the engine that you just need to replace the pistons?

does the JDM H22a only have semi floating wrist pins? i know h22a4 rods are full floating and have .866 wrist pins and type S pistons have .864 wrist pins and require a different rod with a smaller small end diameter. now im sure you can hone the typeS pistons .002" to accept a h22a4 wrist pin, but you cant really use a typeS wrist pin on the h22a4 rod and get the right clearance. i unfortunately have a set of typeS pistons and pins and h22a4 rods . luckily i have a good machinist
