FS: 1989 Honda CRX HF
Car is up and running! The problem was a bad battery terminal.
I have a 1989 Honda CRX HF for sale. I purchased this last year to use as my commuter. It is in decent condition for a 1989 car. The car has 175,372 miles on the engine.
Selling because I'm looking for a roomier car (I'm also going to be selling my S2K). Just got married in December and need the extra room.
The car gets about 40-45mpg. I drive to Irvine from Gardena on a daily basis so you can trust me on that.
The car is manual transmission. Clean Title and Title in hand. Currently registered. Yes, it will pass smog as it did when I first purchased the car.
The car has never been modded, nor has the car seen any type of engine swap. Perfect for those that are interested in doing a swap project.
After purchasing the car I replaced a few things:
Spark Plugs
Thermostat
Thermostat Gasket
Thermostat O-Ring
Radiator Cap
Added another side view mirror (HF's dont come with a passenger side mirror)
2 Axles/Driveshafts
Oil Pan Gasket
Distributor O-Ring
Oil Drain Plug
Oil Drain Plug Gasket
Rear Hatch Struts
The car is currently not running due to a dead alternator. I can fix it for the seller but I would prefer someone just picking it up and taking it as is because I can probably buy a brand new stock motor for the price of the alternator + labor costs.
Price: $1700
Here are a few pics from my craigslist ad:

Thanks,
Jimmy

I will fly to California. Pay you in cash, and drive away. I will have a friend bring me to you. It will be as if you are selling it to a Californian, you won't have to pick me up at the airport, and drive me to see the car. Or if you want I can paypal my Californian friend, and have him buy it. I don't understand why you won't sell it to me? I want a rust free HF, all I need is a nice DD with good mileage.
Bart,
I just dont feel comfortable selling the car when you personally havent seen it. I dont want any drama post sale because of something you didnt know or see.
If your friends wants to come and check it out, that's fine. He can buy it and take it with him if he wants. But the whole waiting thing for you to fly out and check out the car and etc.. can be a hassle for me too.
I have a couple ppl that are already interested, that are local -- which ultimately makes it easier for me.
