jdm p73 ecu help needed
I have a swapped in '98' jdm b18c with a p73 ecu in my eg. It runs fine exept that i never hooked up the knock sensor and was woundering if any1 knew what pin it was on the ecu. my Hanes manual just shows a blue/red wire running to the ecu but not what pin in goes to. thanx
actually i have found out that usdm b18's and 16's knock sensor is pin code D3. if anyone thinks that the jdm versions may be different please let me know.
D6 = knock sensor on OBD2a ECUs
D3 on OBD1 ECUs
since you're running an OBD2a ECU in your OBD1 car you much have a jumper harness, make sure that the harness has the knock senosr wire.
Also make sure the wire you're running for it is shielded or you'll be getting all sorts of false signals.
mic wire from radioshack works well, just connect the shield to the shield connection point at the passenger's shock tower.
