Default CRX Airbags

Hi I was wondering is the CRX came with airbags, or had the options of airbags. After about an hour of searching on the internet, I couldn't find any information which confirmed of denied it, although I'm guessing they don't seeing as they weigh so little and don't come with many standard features. I'm looking to buy a '91 CRX Si, and my parents are worried about the safety aspects of it.

No airbags, but you could buy a new steering wheel with one installed. Pricy though. Just put in a roll cage and harnesses .

That's not a good option for street.

Airbag is not as simple as just replacing a steering wheel either.

In all honesty, if you are worried about safety, sell the CRX and get a Newer Accord.

Well if the good Lord wants you he is going to take you whether you are in a CRX or in a tank. He is just that way.

I respectfully call BS on that last statement. 15 mph maybe.. but 45 mph, that front end would be devastated. F=.5m*v^2 doesn't lie.

You, my friend, are retarded.

If you need to ask why I think so, then you're even more retarded.

I've seen a Ford Expedition take out a light pole at 45mph with only a dent on the bumper, but a CRX? No way. That car would've been crumpled like a tin can.

I gotta second that. If you really just think airbags are a steering wheel, then you shouldn't be working on cars.

You really are retarded arent you. Just putting on an airbag steering wheel will give you just that. How do you think it's going to get triggered? Magic? Do you think there's a magic air bag unit in there that deploys when it senses danger? Like expletiveing spiderman? No, it's way, way more complex than that.

Looks more like someone left the handbrake off in the carpark and rolled into a pillow at under 5mph.
