i have a 92 accord. and the problem that it has is that it idles pretty funnky and it only revs to 3000 rpm and dies, it just stays there and it pings and backfires and explodes and everything. it all started when my engine rev limited to 6400, after my revs drop to idle it was then all funky. i checked my distributor internals for resistance values and they all check out ok, i also checked out the coil and that too is ok. i pulled my plugs and they are pitch black with i can only think that it is running too rich. when i'm at full throttle it stops at 3000 rpm and then suddenly it does to 5000 or less then it just dies back to 3000 rpm.
i can't really pull any codes because i think that my cluster doesn't work cause i changed the little bulb and i still don't have any check engine light even when i first turn the ignition key on. so maybe it's the ecu???? well that's what's going with my car i hope someone has an idea to what it might be.
