M2B4 missing 2nd and 5th, bought M2A4 as replacement because I could not find another M2B4 in good shape. Seeing as how my LSD is fine, can I swap it to the M2A4? (5th gen. H22a4 manual swap)

 

Bump cuz my lsd tranny is starting to grind 5th...

 

i want to say no. But i really cant give you 100% answer. I know this has been answered before so try searching this forum in recent and archived threads.

 

i have been told it can be done, i am haveing the same issue with my h23 trans and i have a broke m2b4 trans, and i wanted to switch them, but i thought the m2b4 housing was bigger for the lsd and thats why they wouldn't swap over but just measure them, or go for it.

 

just switch the gears from your m2a4 to you m2b4..but the m2a4 has a shorter gear ratio i believe so its up to you

 

I would assume that you could as the Qualif will fit in any F or H series IIRC... I would think that if you had space for one LSD you would be able to fit another... my .02

Actually the gear ratio is the same. Only difference is the lsd.

You can either open them both up and switch the gears. Or you can put the lsd in the M2A4 but use the M2B4 housing, as the housing is different to support the lsd. As stated by dartonh22.
