I paid a hair under $22k, with my OEM foglights purchased and installed. I paid exactly MSRP. Do not settle for anything over MSRP.

edit: I have a coupe, but the prices are very close, if not identical.

Did I miss something? What was so funny? I knew he had a sedan. I just didn't want any idiots coming in and saying "fiji you're an idiot, cuz you only have a sedan, and you're comparing prices....blah blah blah...". I knew the price difference (or lack there of), because when I was shopping for a new car, I looked at the sedan too.

I doubt it, but if you do, cheers to you. But definitely don't pay over msrp. Don't let them fool you and tell you that the si is that special.

Maybe because it is a sedan? Less "in demand"? My friend got his FA5 for $700 cheaper than my FG2. IDK.

Wtf are you talking about? I was saying, maybe your 4dr was cheaper, because the sedans are less in demand than the coupes. Just trying to figure out why your car *with a few extras* was that much cheaper than mine *with only fogs*. That's all I was doing, not putting anyone down or starting anything. As for friends, I don't come on here to make friends. I don't wish to be unfriendly with any of them but I will never see any of these people, ever. If you want to be one that doesn't like me, go ahead, but I did absolutely nothing to make you angry with me.

Don't pay MSRP, that's a horrible idea. Shoot for a little bit over invoice, maybe ~3%. I took invoice, offered 3% over it and after a bit of negotiating back and forth, followed byy me telling them I was going somewhere else, they took it. MSRP was a lil over a grand more than I paid.

Under $21,000?

"the ms3 is a better value, sorry. your local mazda dealer might be asking 23.5 for a sport, but that doesn't mean that is what they cost. i just told you that i got my GT for about 24k. also, even if a new si is 'under 21k' as you say (which it isn't, ever), it still doesn't have half the performance the ms3 has, or half the features."

Your car doesn't have even HALF the features.

read much okcmpter?

I like the MS3. It's a cool car. It does have lots of features. I just can't get over it looking like a station wagon. If you could get it in a sedan, I might have gone for it. That being said, is it even in the same class as the Si coupes and sedans? Or should it be compared to other 5 door hatches/wagons?

He quoted that from builthatch, in the '2008 si worth it?' thread, but I still don't know what he was trying to say.

oh, I see what he did there. He couldn't figure out how to get it to say "Quote, originally posted by" so he just used quotation marks... that makes a little more sense.. just a little.

Shoot for a 07 thats still on a lot somewhere... you can get major negotiation benefits from that. Make sure its not used though.
