93 Civic Hatch Head lights.. Shitty!?
Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone else thinks the head light system on the 92 - 94 hatches is bad? I just got some Xenon Hyper Whites yesterday and put them in and i was very dissapointed at the low beams.. The High beams are pretty good but the low beams dont light up ****.. Does anyone know of a conversion or anything to get some better light with the low beams? TIA guys!
I have denji black housing projectors with clear lenses. I'm looking to sell them if you want them for 100 shipping negotiable. I loved them over OEM. But I'm planning to go HID and the OEM lights are more my style less noticed during the day.
Were I live that is good. And they work better for hid so going back to stock. If you would want to get these from me let me know not trying to sell them just a opprotunity for you I have pictures and they are in perfect shape. These aren't the cheapy's.
For standerd non HID systems:
Denji
OEM
Though I've had trouble aiming the denji's the beam patter seems to at times destroy people in front of me though I've got them set pretty though. They have much farther distance. Imagine a beam of a projector driving light to a fog light beam.
I don't drive enough at night to use them that much but from what I do I love them.

yeah i think it was http://overboost.com that had an independent test on bulbs and the stocks outperformed the aftermarket ones including the PIAAs...
Your bulbs are the problem. Tinted / coloured / whatever bulbs cut some of the light. Get some Philips VisionPlus from the UK or some Osram SilverStars (the European ones) and you'll notice a bit of an improvement. I'm running the Philips VisionPlus H4's in my headlights and some Osram Super H3's in my Honda driving lamps (or what some refer to as foglamps) and they're considerably better than most other bulbs.
one word HID's. These are all the headlight setups I have been through:
Denji Projectors: 100 watt h3, freid inside projector housing but was bright as ****
Jaguar Eyes Projectors: Piaa Super Plasma, couldnt see **** but looked good
Jaguar Eyes Projectors w/Catz Zeta: Got a little better, but color out , exactly like a s200
Stock H4 headlights: Piaa Plasm Bulbs with Catz Zeta, I could actually see again, still sucked but color output was good.
Stock H4 headlights: Put some 6000K K2 HID's yes finally this is what I have been looking for. I could actually see far, lighted up the road and suprisingly beam pattern was all good.
As you can see I been through alot of setups and basicaly the stock headlights suck. So if you **** like me and want to see get some HID's

The typical HID retrofit (which is illegal, but probably no big deal just like clear corners) will only give you one beam pattern. You will give up the high beam. For most it shouldn't matter, but or others, it may...keep that in mind.
actually this is a high beam low beam kit and beside, half the stuff we all do to our cars isnt even street legal anyways. If you start worrying about that shouldnt be hooking up your car in the first place.

Agreed... your primary problem is the crappy bulbs you just installed.
Although, I have noticed that eg headlights are a little on the dim side to start with.
