not a cv. When a cv goes out it will click when turning.

Spot on, post some pics of your car, we will be able to tell you what model you have pretty quickly.

The likehood of either of those previously mentioned options are low.
It's it's DPFI then it's for sure a base model. If it's MPFI it's SI or HF, and if it's SI you will have a electric sunroof.

Here's a few more things to tell if you've got a DX, Si, or HF...some have already been repeated by oh well...
- HF Engine block reads D15B6, DX engine blcok reads D15B2, Si will read D16XX (I don't know since I've never looked for an Si)
- Si will say 16 Valve or VTEC on your valve cover
- HF Stock steering wheel have 2.
- HF don't have a rear hatch wiper, DX and Si's do.
- HF tach redline start at 5000rpm.
- Under hood will say MPFI for HF and SI. DX will say DPFI.
- Only DX came with automatic transmission.
- Si seats have side bolstering that go all the way to the top and have a hole in the head rests.
- DX seats have side bolstering that go all the way to the top like Si but don't have a hole in the head rests.
- HF seats have side bolstering only up to about half the way back portion and don't have a hole in the head rests.
Also try doing a google search for your VIN and click on the only link (a carfax link) and it will give you the basic info about your car and about 90% of the time it also tells you the model trim (Si, DX, or HF).
Good luck.

won't say VTEC on a USDM car form 88-91 unless the motor is swapped.
also, my 91 std hatchback (d15) said 16 valve even though it was DPFI

Rear wiper was optional on DXs neither of mine have one. Allthough I think all Sis have a rear wiper and no HFs do.

You have a Honda CRX.
You do not have a Honda CRX Si
You do not have a Honda CRX Hf
There was no Honda CRX DX, it is just a Honda CRX with a D15B2 Dual Point.

Toad's right...there weren't any CRX DX's...so you have a base CRX.
I belive they did have a Civic DX model at the time so I think that's where the DX creeps in CRX lingo.
Plus I'm sure someone can correct me on this but I'm 99% sure CRX's were originally sold as a Civic CRX, so there's another way for the Civic DX trim creeping into the CRX world
You definately have a base (not a HF or Si)
