sohc zc turbo set-up options!
i was wondering whats my next best upgrade.
i have a 94 honda civic 4dr with a sohc zc motor in it. im running a td04 turbo kit from greddy with an fmu. got me an act street clutch kit and that pretty much sums it up. everything else is stock. and this one is NONE VTEC.
wanna try and hit at least 14's. my best time so far with stock everything and just the turbo and a slipping clutch and 17 inch rims was 16.1. NEED TO SHAVE OFF 2 SECONDS!!

Thats odd. I ran A 16.9 with a sohc zc non-V in a crx at a colorado track (over a mile high in altitude) N/A. All it had was basic bolt ons; intake, exhaust, short shifter, nothing special. I know a crx is a lot lighter of a chassis but I figured even a boosted 4 dr would do better than a 16 on a stock setup. Anywho, a good tune can cut your times pretty well and will be motor friendly. Also might consider a weight reduction? I dunno what all you got in that thing but get rid of the things you can live without i guess if you dont wanna go too "extreme". Also, a smaller tire size might help you out. I was running a 14" setup with some generic tires to get my times. Shouldn't be too hard, a lot can be saved just tinkering with launches and shifting and suspension. ****, I saved half a second on mine just dropping tire pressure up front so I could get off the line a little quicker.

I ran a 14.8 on a bone stock all motor SOHC ZC.
Lose the clutch, 17" rims, and FMU. Get it tuned, then learn to drive.
If you don't crack 13's with ease something is wrong.
