hey whats up h-t. right now i'm at college, and i have my ej8 with me and it's time for a new clutch. I have 90% of a turbo kit sitting back home waiting to be put on. But here lies the problem. This summer i'm going to be super busy with an internship so i highly doubt i'm going to have the time to get the turbo on the car, but i still need a new clutch.
I wanted to get the xtd stage 3, because i think that would be perfect for when my car is turbo'd. But how do you think daily driving would be if i just installed the stage three with my stock d16. Would i be overdoing it? What would you guys do?

I have heard mixed things about the brand xtd, but aside from that, I don't believe a stage 3 clutch should be a problem. It might give your leg a bit of a workout though lol. If you are planning on boosting in the near future, a nice strong clutch will be necessary. Are you limiting your options to the brand xtd? You might want to look into competition clutches. They are really nice and feel almost like stock

yea, i actually read a review about the xtd on turbod16 and they said teh clutch pressure was similar to stock.
but anyway, i wasn't deadset on the xtd, but i didn't want to spend a fortune on a new clutch, and i can get this for like a little under $200 shipped, i don't really know the next cheapest clutch i could get compared to that price

is a it a harsher ride? and how is it with the flywheel, have you noticed a performance difference, is it easier to stall out? i hear mixed things about lightend flywheels

Help Please! Clutch Questions
I have a question about a Yonaka stage 3 clutch . I installed a clutch on a d16z6 and tried the car in gear released the clutch, something is not right, feels like I am pulling another car behind me it's moving but it feels like on e-brake but its not. Thank You

I have never understood the obsession with buying way too much clutch for a given set-up. I run an Exedy Stage 1 with 300whp, and I could not ask for a smoother, nicer clutch.
Back when I used to buy too much clutch all it did was make it shittier to drive, and break lots of **** like axles, final drives, and diffs.
