Default tires for a Legend ?

I have a 1994 Honda Legend that need tires for use in 3 season. I' in Toronto and its cold and snowy so I run snow tires. I plan on 205/60/15 or 215/60/15 on a 15 X 6.5 stock wheel. I have been to the Tire rack site and read a lot, but its not helping. I think a grand touring all season tire will be fine for me as I am not interested in a noisy, hard riding tire that wil wear out quickly. I don't drive fast or corner hard, an my priorities are:

1. smooth quiet ride
2. traction
3. price under $125/tire

I have always had Michelin MXV4s and Yokohama Avid H4s. Heard there are better tires for less money so I want one of them !

Thanks

The stock size for the Legend (the base sedan, anyway) is 205/60-15, so I would stick with that size.

Since you have winter tires for winter use, you can get summer tires (rather than all-seasons) for the best performance the other three seasons. IMHO the best summer tire available in 205/60-15 is the Yokohama ES100. It offers excellent performance, although it's not super quiet (especially when it's worn). It's USD87/tire at the Tire Rack. Another choice in that size is the BFGoodrich g-Force Sport; its performance isn't quite as good as the ES100, but it's okay, and it's cheaper, USD68/tire at the Tire Rack. Like the ES100, the BFG is fairly noisy, too.

Tire prices are often higher in Canada than in the States. Oddly, the ES100 is less expensive than the BFG at the Canadian dealer Talon Tire, where the ES100 is CAD116 and the BFG is CAD143. If the ES100 is cheaper, get the ES100.

As noted above, since you don't have to worry about cold weather use, summer tires offer better performance. But if you'd like to, you could try a really good all-season tire instead, and it will last longer. It will probably be quieter than the two summer tires noted above. The Kumho ASX and Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position are both very good. In 205/60-15, the ASX is USD50 at the Tire Rack, and the RE960AS is USD79. At Talon, the RE960AS is CAD131 and they don't list the ASX, I don't know why.
