Hey what's up guys. So I just picked up a new commuter/project. It's an all stock 98 Civic DX coupe. After thinking I wanted out of hondas, I jumped into german cars (audi). Now i'm back lol.

I know omnipowers are pretty cheap, but a lot of threads also suggest a GC combo. Anyway. It'd be nice to get a good/affordable coilover setup and have extra money over for sway bard or tie bar...

So if you had $1,000 dollars to spend on suspension what would you spend it on?

 

Koni/GC or PIC apex

 

Koni yellows.

Stiffer rear ARB.

Front and rear tower bars (good rigid ones only, not Ebay or equivalent quality, waste of money at any price).

That should be getting around your $1000 budget (way over here in Australia).

Increasing tyre pressure is free!

 

plans for this car? ride quality your looking for? What kind of rim/tire combo are you running?

Just from the top of my head...PIC Selects, GC/Koni, and Skunk2 Pro-C's.

 

I actually don't know the first thing about suspension, spring rates, how tie rods benefit handling etc etc etc. LOL

Is there a good link for info on all this i can read up on?

GC, Hawk pads and Falcon Azenis RT 615 all around. Now, you are ready for those curves. That's what I call money WELL spend.

 

i have fully ajustable kyb coilovers on my hatch and the ride is very smooth
