Hondtata Boost Option, quick question

Hondtata Boost Option, quick question
The boost option key unlocked what exactly, in the romeditor program? Cause if I sell my romeditor they have to call hondata for a new key(had to do that when I switched laptops). What happens with the boost option??
im def confused, its been years since I used this things, I have a bunch of keycodes on the back of my cd cover, i dont know even if the boost keycode is written here.
Oh wait did the boost option unlock my interface box(Small blue box in my car)?
And was dataloggin a extra $150.00 at the time or did it come with the romeditor free?
