Mugen Intake question

Default Mugen Intake question

hey guys a friend of mine just got a mugen intake *used* and he has a JDM front integra w/ the Hid's and he is having a hard time installing the intake becasue of the hid box thing is in the way. Is the intake for the JDM front different than the one for the USDM front car? i searched and only got 4 post.

IIRC there is a non ABS intake and an ABS intake... maybe thats of of the problems?
i have a mugen intake on my car and i have the jdm front with abs fits fine, its tight but it fits

he didn't get the ek version cause my husband has a ek and it won't come close to fitting on it. i can tell from the diagram that he doesn't have all the parts that a new one would come with.

Why not post a pic? If this intake is a GenI, it will not have the same parts as the one Casey posted and the instructions that Shawn posted.

The Gen I will not fit with ABS though you can rig it in there and not bolt it down.

i don't feel comfortable not bolting it up, so i guess i'll just sell it. PM me w/ offers. I really hate to sell this but i guess i'll just get a gen 2 that we know will fit. thanks for all your help.

If you buy a brand new one, you'll probably end up getting the Gen3.
