Just out of curiosity, how much are people paying for the EX and EX-L? I read the post asking if the Si was worth it...and some guy said he paid $20,000 for an EX-L. I paid just over that ($20,400) for my Si sedan with 3 miles on it.

Not everone wants a performance-oriented car. Some people (most people) prefer leather seeating over a more powerful engine. Most people also prefer automatics.

k20 is faster but both engines still are hella reliable IMO and that is what matters. we are not comparing how much hp one can make.

Awww, look how upset everyone who got a 1.8 liter is. Yeah, leather seats are great; they wear faster, are too cold in the winter, too hot in the summer and are nowhere near as comfortable as the Si seats. $20,000-$21,000 for leather or for 50 Hp, 6-speed, LSD, suspension, wheels and more comfortable seats?

a lot of people who bought their cars in 2006-2007 werent getting deals that you are seeing now with the 2008, of course there are those that got the good deals on their cars and good for them. most people were getting SI for about 24-25k when all was said and done. so when non-si's were selling for 19-20k OTD its a lot better and a lot more attractive. plus figure in the cost of gas, insurance, etc etc (this was in my case).

there is nothing wrong with the r18, quit hating on it. we paid less, we like our gas mileage/insurance, its less attractive to thieves in the future, our gears dont pop-out, and maybe we have faster cars .

all you SI guys who are like "Oo my SI is better" "should of bought an SI" etc etc, us r18 people dont care and until you guys have something like k-pro, i will laugh at you guys for buying a "sports car" that you can do sh*t to besides i/h/e suspension. i'm not hating on you guys, i love the SI but i dont think the SI is as great as you guys are making it to be IMO.

Your right. Unless i'm missing something?........HMmmm.

Oh yeah.

You forgot about the AJP Turbo kit for our cars that can lay down nearly 300WHP at a modest 4.5PSI and is capable of putting down over 500WHP on our cars at 20PSI with some internal work done.

And don't forget about the Superchargers that I believe 3 companies now make or are developing for the Si.

We can do alot more than you think.

And by the way. I'm not hating on the R18 or anything. But your statement was truly a bonehead one to make.

And that's fine. Just try to do it a little more carefully. These cars are two different cars built for two entirely different reasons.

They both have advantages that the other does not have....so therefore they are both great in their own ways. I don't need to list them because we all pretty much know the advantages and disadvantages of the R18 and Si.

I have to get up early and do 90% city driving in a place that experiences all four seasons, i'd definitely want an automatic daily driver.
