Engine light.
Hey Honda heads
Here is the scenario. I have a 99' EX Civic coupe, with some Ebay cheap *** headers and a low budget air intake and a magnaflow exhaust. The car engine light has been on for a while now so I took it to a local shop here in Orlando and had the computer run a diagnostic it turned out to be the iddle control valve. I go buy the freaking control valve but the engine light is still on, but at least the car is not iddling anymore. Its driving me crazy. Could it be a bad sensor maybe? what do you guys think? Here is a pic of my car.

May check the wiring. Someone posted a thread not too long ago that said the cel check the iacv was actually for the idle air control system and had a number of thing that could cause the cel for that to come on. You could probably go through the thread pages to find it.
Clear the code, Unplug the negative battery terminal for about 30 seconds, then reconnect and see if the CEL lights is still on. If not, then your good to go.
I'm going to another mechanic to see what they tell me. All I know is that I plug in the computer twice and I keapt getting the same responce, mechanic told me I needed iddle air control valve. 70 dollars for the diagnostic, and 110 dollars for a iddle control valve and still no solution its very frustrating.
