Default *searched* Speedometer Pulse?

Does anyone know the pulse per mile for an 88 CRX DX or the pulse per rotation for an EF?

How do our cable driven speedo's have a pulse?

The Speedometer in the dash does it. I've tapped off the wire before with success, but I'm trying to get the signal into LogWorks 2 as something usable, so I have to know the actual frequency.

There's info out there for people who have swapped s2000 clusters into their cars. They changed the pulse/mile (ppm) from their normal.

https://honda-tech.com/zero...ge=60
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Other info,
From what I can find the stock honda vss outputs 4000 pulses per mile (approximately)
and the s2000 vss outputs 145000 pulses per mile. That's a ratio of 36.25/1 A frequency multiplier that can create this 36.25/1 ratio is needed. I'm working on it, and if anyone else is, please post your info. I'd like to see some tuning involved, to adjust for the differences between individual vss gears. Shouldn't have to be too much, and speed doesn't have to be perfectly accurate (most stock speedos are about 5-7% off anyways.) </TD></TR></TABLE>

That info is for the tranny mounted vss's, however, I would assume the cluster mounted ones would be the same. Maybe take do your math with the 4000 ppm and see if it makes sense?

Good luck.
