civic reverse idle gear

civic reverse idle gear
I took apart my civic shuttle gearbox and now have a problem. I cant remember how the reverse idle gear goes. There is a black washer that is not shown in any frontwheel drive civic manual. Did i put it back the right way.

every one ive ever done never had a washer on reverse. just the rod and the gear. is that a hydro trans or cable? it looks right because the spacing on the fork looks ok..

Its a cable. Found a S22 type trans manual that looks just like the civic shuttles gearbox. It shows the washer on top in some pics and some pics dont have the washer at all.
