Default TSX Suspension Install?

I searched, but im not going to lie, im not the best searcher on this forum, so if you search and find it just please link and then we can lock this thread.

my friend got a tsx and wants to lower it, i just want to know the process, i have lowered EG's, EK's and EFs, Tegs, all of that, i am just wondering if the suspension is similiar.

only because i have a is300 as my daily and i looked into lowering it myself and i didnt feel like doing all the extra, so i am just curious as to if its as easy to lower the tsx as it is to lower another older honda. im not moron, lol im just lazy, heh. any help appreciated.

i swapped out my suspension myself.

Fronts are easy, similar to doing EG/DC..

Rears require removing rear seat (lower cushion part), then the side (vertical) bolsters to get to the strut tops.

rears took me a little while to figure out...

hope this helps.. think i got my info from tsxclub.com.. try there

depend on how low you lower your TSX... you might need a Camber kit. if u buy 16 or 32 way adjustable, then u can adjust it without buying a camber kit to a minimum

just put a set of these on last week! they make a huge diff in ride quality and looks. they make the ride a little stiffer so it doesnt feel like your driving a buick.

my .2 on the install would be pull the bottom of the seat out first. there is a 10mm bolt that is holding it in on the driver side next to the seat belt buckles. after pullin that out look at the bottom of the side bolsters and u will see another 10mm bolt. take that out and pull up on the side bolster and it will pop out.

when you take off the rear tire u will see like 6 diff links goin to the rear hub including the sway bar. look at those and use ur best judgment on which ones to take off. i think i just took out like 3 or 4 of the bolts that connect some of the rods to rear hub. its not too ######### u figure out how to get to the top hat bolts.

the tein kit drops the front 1.7" and suggest u cut the fist little part of the bumpstop off and i suggest you do it too. my friend said not to but i knew better and im glad i did. the rear is only like 1.3" and i left the bumps uncut.

lookin at the car from the rear while drivin it looks like a camber kit would be benificial. good luck!

What TomsEF said pretty much sums it up. Here's a picture of my sisters old TSX on Tein S-Techs with stock shocks for anyone that wanted to get a perspective of how it looks after the drop.
