Default buying paint guns

I'm looking into buying a few guns so i can start painting my car. I'm still a little confused about the difference between guns though. How do you know which guns to shoot primer with and which to shoot clear?
any info on this and links to reputable sites to buy guns off of would be helpful.
Thanks,
Al

Sealer / base / clear - 1.3 to 1.4 size range.

Primer / filler- 1.5 to 2.2 size range. It really depends on what type of material you intend to use. Thicker type primer/filler like ultra high build poly type primer and sprayable filler require larger 2.2 size . Regular / common high build primer 1.5 to 1.7 range is good.

Standard gravity fed HVLP guns will work fine for you as long as you have the needed equipment.

Google search around I'm sure their is plenty of good sites. Also google search for an autobody supply store in your area.

So if i got two good guns that would be enough? ( and a third if i end up using really thick primer/filler)
thanks

No prob. The large sizes do vary, some product may even recommend a larger size than a 2.2

Yep, 2 guns should be fine.
