A: It is not adjustable in stock form, as it is decided by you fuel pressure regulator, that is not adjustable.

B: What is your fuel pressure actually at, other than "High"?

We cant help you if you dont help us!

What was in the car before the 1.5 lame swap? and dont tell me another 1.5 was in there or your telling me you replaced the engine not swapped it.

You might have a many number of different problems.

Try a coolant temp sensor, it it is bad or going out it will mess with the fuel as in it will start running rich.

Once again: It is your fuel pressure regulator that decides your fuel pressure. Not your fuel pump. What is your fuel pressure at? Just because you are getting too much fuel (As you are assuming), does not meant that your fuel pressure is too high.

I actually have a prob with my fuel as well. I got a ls vtec with stock ls block with a b16 head. I have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator silver in color no idea of the brand. I had to buy the guage separate. Its the one that goes on top of the fuel filter. For some reason I can't get the pressure to go pass 30psi. I was told that's pretty low. My car doesn't smoke or over heat. It just feel like it needs more??? I have a stock p28 which I want to chip out after I get the car running better. I tried putting in a chipped computer and I felt no difference. I'm sure a Stock ls could beat me right now the way my motor is running. I took of the head got it checked and milled. Put on a new HG. I NEED HELP!!!

Do you have a check engine light on???

If you smell fuel out the exhaust your car is running rich.
What color is the smoke...black???

Its not your fuel pump.... Could be something simple like an oxygen sensor.

you need to relieve the pressure (bleed) like they did in the old days. Take your car into a comfortable spot and slowly cut a small hole in the fuel line. Make sure you have a bucket under the hole. Now you need to close your hood and the rest will heal it self. Make sure there is no infection......................................... .........

Oh wait, I thought this was a medical forum sorry guys.

REPLACE O2 SENSOR

Well honestly white usually means coolant. Like bad head gasket
Too much fuel will usually smoke black!

Do you have a check engine light on???

sounds like a cracked block or a bad head gasket. You should have told us this in the beginning.

check your oil to see if its diluted from running rich or if it has coolant in it.

Wow. Sounds like you have a pile of crap. Fuel pressure seems to be the least of your issues.
