Well in my last thread I stated that I thought I had toasted my LSD. Alot of you responded to tell my that my asumption was probaly correct nad I had broke the lsd unit. This got me worried as I am about to start my h2b build and the price of a new lsd unit would be around one thousand dollars plus what ever labor would be involved in the installation of this unit. If that had to happen I could have surely kissed my H2B out the window.

After alot of search by me and Z6Hatchboy We cam to the conclusion that it mgiht be my axels, So I went ahead and removed both axels to inspect them. After removing them from the car I noticed the passenger axel was shot. While I was on the task of removing the axels B-SERIOUS was on my thread posting the logical answers I was searching for all night. And only after talking to B-SERIOUS for about an hour threw posts and PM's did my worries go away.

In the end it only turned out to be the passenger axel was bad. Now replaced and fluids full it does not make any sounds what so ever.

what sort of noise as it making?

i don't think my LSD is damaged but i get a rattling noise (bag of bolts almost sounding, it's not the engine).. but it is only when i accelerate hard between 2k and 4k after that it goes away.. only the left-hand side.

thumbs up to b-serious though, seriously lol.. i've heard this name a few times now.. is he like the Stig or something?

 

what is the status of my o2 sensor?

 

My tranny makes a kind of faint whining noise. It also has an lsd. Is this a normal noise?
