Default Value/Worth of USDM ITR Seats w/ 3K Miles...

im on the fence on letting them go to pick up something else. the've been in the closet for the last 3 years, removed at about 3K miles when i picked up my first set of JDM recaros. front and rears are in the same condition, but i'd sell only the fronts.

they look, feel and even smell BRAND NEW NO WEAR whatsoever. i dont wanna sell them, but they'd help offset the cost of something else i want.

whats the most do you guys think these are the worth? i see average condition ones sell for about 6-7, but i dont know if theres a buyer out there willing to spend more unless they are a true purist rebuliding an R, looking ONLY for the best....and theres no way i'd let them go for "street/market value". hmmm...what to do.

I see mint conditon black JDM ITR seats sell for 1000-1200. average condition USDM ITR seats sell for $450-550. I'd say $900 is top dollar

I let mine go to a buddy for like $450 to offset the price of the Recaros. I've seen mint condition pieces for sale for $800 and higher.

i had a conversation with a buddy of mine a while ago who was trying to put back together an 01. we both concluded that over time, its the usdm itr seat that will be harder to find in good shape as opposed to jdm recaros which seem to be easier to find...weird. i dont know...i'd like to hold on to the seats for as long as i can but if an offer is made, i might reconsider.

thanks for the feedback all..

^^^^that's an interesting thought. I never looked at it that way before.

The only thing I don't like about the stock seats is that they're just regular Integra seats with a different skin.

honestly though...even the jdm itr recaros are basically the same seat as the retail SRD counterpart except for the itr skins and material. i just have a feeling that the usdm seats even though are easy to acquire now, will be an arm and a leg to replace new from the factory...and hard to find mint as time goes by.

I was actually wondering the same thing recently. I have a set of mint front seats with only 6,000 miles on them that have been sitting in bags/boxes for years now... I also have a the stock suspension with only 6,000 miles on them sitting in the same attic.

I was thinking that I may have missed the boat on selling these as the market for Type R parts has cooled down over the years.

I'm interested to see what its all worth, but I still think I will hold on to all my stock parts until someday I want to return the car to stock and sell it or I make the car a dedicated track *****. How much would a 20001 Type R with 35,000 miles with seats/suspension/exhaust with only 6,000 miles go for anyway?

I wonder how many people will actually be trying to collect these cars/parts in the future...

As time goes by, it will eventually be difficult to purchase good condition used seats and we all know how expensive genuine honda parts are. If you really really love the stock seats then dont sell them. But IMHO, I dont think you will get a pretty penny for it later on because if the price goes up to that of brand new recaros or even close to it, Im getting the recaros and they come in RED Also if someone has all the dough in the world to buy those seats in the future, I dont think they would be driving a honda.

My 2 centses

they have different foam in them.

You gotta price them under the JDM ITRs, but over the going rate of good condition seats. So 750-850.

I think you would have to sit on them for a while. I'm not sure how long you want to wait until the supply of seats go down and demand to go up. We're all certain that you may get more further down the line, so i would keep them being that they are in Brand NEW condition. But if you wanted to compare them to 01 red Canadian front seats, that might be a while. But if you want to get rid of them now, 750-950ish i think. I just want to know want kind of value someone could get for a set of Canadian ITR seats with the same mileage. Is the market value for the red back seats more than the red fronts seats(sorry for the off-topic-ness)?

Arnold, how are you storing your seats?

Mine has some white mold on it from sitting in the garage (my closet is too small). Easy to clean it off though.

I would say $800 for the front pair.

yeah, no kidding i think i'd pay 800 tops since that'd be somewhere between good condition USDM seats and JDM recaros. then again, some freak out there wanting extrememly mint seats may pay more. to them.

nice try, those seats are clean, but NOT mint and i highly doubt the claimed 3K miles. the pictures are pretty good and if you look closely, the driver's side chair has already lost some of the nap from the suede on the bolsters where your elbows hit. some wrinkles are also evident from entering and exiting on the outer door-side bolster. even the plastic molding on the bottom of the seats are dirty and show wear.

my seats are brand-new fresh, zero signs of wear, JET BLACK from hardly ever being in the sun, bright red stitches...how can i help it if i went thru 5 sets of jdm recaros as beaters over the years.
