2 stupid questions...
Next to the brake booster is a line coming out of the firewall, pointing up. When I got the car, there was a heater hose attached to it with a screw on the other end plugging it up. What is this line for and what is it supposed to connect to?
Also, there is a torx bit underneath the proportioning valve on the p/s fender wall that holds a bracket to it. Does anyone know what size this is?

If this is a US car then it never came with a carb here. its the fuel return line , it returns the unused fuel to the tank, What more is there to explain. after the FPR the fuel RETURNS to the tank
You should reconnect that to the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail and make sure you have the vaccum line hooked up to the fpr. If you do not you will be allowing too much fuel to be used which is not always good. Also you will get poor fuel mileage if it is not connected.
