Has anyone used the Mickey Thompson Street radials as a track tyre ?
I was trying to find some info on them for track use but couldn't seem to find out if anyone had used them.
I'm looking at them because they seem to be a relatively cheap track tyre.

So what are your thoughts on these tyres ? Worth a shot or not ?

OK, lets get some terms straight.
Track= Closed Course, like VIR and Laguna Seca.
Drag= 1/8 mile or 1/4 mile straight line racing.
Track tire= Like Toyo RA1
Drag tire= drag radial, like the ones you posted about.
So could you be more accurate and specific about your question?
not busting *****, just trying to get this straight.

Translation = It's a question how well that tire would hold up on a road course, since it's designed for straight-line grip.

Yup, those are for the dragstrip, not for the track. Other drag radials for the dragstrip are made by BFGoodrich and Nitto. BFG has 205/50-15.
I don't know about your market, but here in North America there are a lot of good R compound tires available in 205/50-15 for the track, including:
Toyo RA-1
Toyo R888
Nitto NT-01
Avon Tech R-A
BFGoodrich g-Force R1
Hoosier A6
Hoosier R6
Kumho Ecsta V700
Kumho Ecsta V710
Michelin Pilot Sport Cup
Yokohama ADVAN A048
Hankook Z214

Dealers in the United States are. However, I don't know whether they have all sizes yet. For example, Frisby only shows 17" and 18" sizes on their website. I don't know if they can get other sizes (e.g. 205/50-15) yet - but those other sizes are already listed by Toyo on their U.S. website, so I assume they are available, or will be in the very near future.
