Default B18C1 with B16 head in civic sedan

My buddy recently bought a usdm block with gsr piston and rods. The question he is asking me and that I am unsure of is that will he need a different ecu than PR3 for vtec. The crank is gsr and micropolished and balanced. it is also sleeved. He wants to go all motor in a sleeper sedan. he also asking me which I am unsure if he will need the 94-01 axles and shaft. He asked me if stock rods are best with the pr3 pistons for 11.7:1 compression ratio. Should he run eagle rods. The pistons are also pressed on. Does anyone have a write up? If not him and me will do a write up for you guys? I checked a shop $120 for all four.

So mister know it all cant answer a simple thing like that?

Go to your know it all website you are so fond of and get the info.

If you cant do that, then go check the FAQ.

By the way, match the ECU to the head you use. Even you should know that.

The GSR wrist pin are pressed on the P72 Pistons. We told the shop how much it would cost to remove old P72 pistons and press the Pr3 pistons on for higher compression. He told us $120 for all four and should be done tomorrow afternoon. The question is that the rods are 98378 miles. Should he go with some eagle rods?

If you are going to boost it then yes, If not, its a waste of money.

You come off on other people like you already know all this ****.

Why are you now asking these rudimentary questions?

The block is sleeved from AP and the seller told my buddy that its for All motor application. My buddy then told me that lets go turbo. I said why since the block is expensive to replace. If you blow it up then time to ask your girl for some more money. I am not mr know it all. I been a lurker for 17 years.

Rods don't deteriorate. So 90k miles is nothing. bolts and bearings is what I would be concerned about.

Quoted for threat.

I'm only doing this because that's ban worthy.

I'd love to see you try anything.
