Default B16A sir2 power? what are some reliable power adders with stockish appearance

B16A sir2 power? what are the best reliable power adders with stockish appearance?

The plans are to keep the motor NA

1.) I would like to run an ignition control module an msd distributor and wires first

2.) A CTR crank pulley will come next

3.) Then an ITR manifold + whatever tapered 66-68mm TB I can get my hands on

4.) And most definitely some ITR cams with some gears

I've talked with a few people about running hondata s300
I was wondering if anyone had a similar setup to what I'm proposing

I don't feel I'm educated enough to pick the right intake, currently on a chopped AEM cold air now a halfassed short ram.

The megan racing header does the trick for now, yet a DC 4-2-1 is the only header built to provide the clearance & power I need that neither hytech or toda will compromise on.

The ultimate goal is to synergize my additions by keeping the bore and stroke the same and focusing on response linear power reliability and stockish appearence.

Please offer up proven truths to help guide my decision making process

You seem fairly intelligent, at least with the way you speak and the way your post is organized so I'll try to help out. You're way off base with the things you want to do. They would be better mods if you had a b18c but a b16a responds a little differently. I would recomend you spend some time searching on here as there is a wealth of information available to you if you take the time to look for it and sift through it.

Advice- forget the 4 things you list.

Best things you can do initially is install a full AEM cai 2.75" on that car. I actually found installing a header on my car when it was a b16a made very little difference on the dyno power wise for a couple reasons. The stock cat has a very small inlet/outlet and is restrictive on the exhaust. Without cams, the stock exhaust was relatively adequate. You'll want to get cams after the intake, something like Skunk stage 1's, BC 3's, RM 21's, Toda A's, Blox A's will perform better than the ITR/CTR cams. If you only have a budget for the ITR/CTR cams they will still work well. In order to get your cams to work well you will need some tuning like a VAFC at minimum or ideally Hondata type of system and adjustable cam gears.

After that a DC JDM 4-1 header (2.5" collector) with larger high flow cat and 2.25" cat-back exhaust will help. I would add a type R style intake manifold only at this point and a SLIGHTLY larger throttle body if you want but again wait to this point. The stock intake manifold works very well on the B16a's. After this I would consider using a light weight flywheel to help free up some power. A similar thing you can do is run light weight 15" rims and tires, as it has a similar effect if you're currently running 17"-18" rims etc. A toda header is the ideal header to run on your motor but it costs a lot of money.

i had a b16 with ctr cams skunk2 manifold short ram intake that i wraped electrical tape around to make it less of a eye catcher and a jdm itr 4-1 header with skid plate and upper heat shield looked stock car put down 151 hp and 105 tq went 14.0 @98 with s200 it was fun
