price fixing? need help!
sup HT, im new so i dont know where this belongs but anyways, my homie bought a integra a couple months ago for rape price $9,000 and he didnt know better can copped it for a small car dealer, the dealer said that he couldnt lower the price cause it a "street price"? so my question is that considered price fixing? and is it illegal to sell a car way higher than kbb is suggesting the price range?? all the car had was rims and a muffler...can someone help my homie out?
that sux....I don't think there is much you can do. I have some things for sale tho if your buddy wants to fix up his new ride, I'll give him the special street price.
You can sell a car at whatever price you want, it's up to the buyer to decide if they really want to spend that money.
Case in point, 1990 Integra with a cracked window and a shift **** - 2995 at a dealership in town here..
c'monnnn.
The dealer doesn't have to lower the price, and "street price" doesn't mean anything, it's just another way for dealerships to talk you out of them helping you out more. When they know you'll pay 9k, they don't have to work at getting you to pay 8.

are you kidding? your friend got taken...plain and simple
it's not our fault, your fault, or the dealer's....they sell cars to make money
i made 2000 off a car i rebuilt from salvage due to theft....if someone's going to pay you more than a car's worth, are you really going to say "i'm trying to rip you off, let me lower the price"....i don't think so
