Default Give me your approval, or disapproval

(not actual bike)

1997 Honda CBR600
Red/White/Black
9000 miles
New tires
Re-jetted
Covered/garage kept

He's a good friend of a good friend. (makes me feel better)

This would be a beginner bike for me. I'm 6'3, 190, 19 years old, no experience.

He's asking $4500, which to me isn't much of a deal, so maybe I can talk him lower..

Thoughts?

Sure, CBR600 is a great beginnner bike, but you don't have to get such a new one, go for an F3, cuz I guarantee you will drop that bike as a beginner, its always best to go with a real shitty bike for your first one, you can find them between 2K-3K, but for a 97 600, around $4K is reasonable.

1997 honda CBR600 would be an F3

retail price about 4800
trade in price about 3300

I would try to get it for around 4000-4200 being as though he is your friend...

I'm gonna throw in a box of playboys to sweeten the deal. Maybe he'll bite then.

Beauties only skin deep mate! Check all the bearings and alignments. I spose you know its previous anyway? CBR6 is the bike for the masses...cant see braided hoses on it? and the rear shock will be getting on a bit.

Motorcycle Safety Foundation http://www.msf-usa.org

"The Motorcycle Safety Foundation provides information on motorcycle rider training, operator licensing & government relations. It includes information on rider courses, riding gear, and motorcycle safety for riders of all ages. "

In most states it gets you out of the riding portion of getting your motorcycle license.
