2 amps 1 choice - f'in fuses
ok here's my setup.
old school pioneer head unit
1 JL 10 inch sub.
and i have 2 amps.
i got a simple wiring kit for my simple setup.
1 amp needs 2 fuses but i'm not sure what number fuses it uses .
The other amp uses a 20 fuse. But the fuse holder on the battery wire is also a 20.
so when i tried to put a fuse in the holder it sparked and blown the fuse on the amp.
I don't know **** when it comes to electronics.
What should i do ?

Makes and models of the amp would help.
What gauge wire is the "simple wiring kit" that came with only a 20A fuse????
What is the model of the JL sub?
One amp is driving the sub, what is the other amp driving?

That is not model numbers.
Either way, a 12ga amp kit is not going to be enough to power even the 600W amp.
You will need at least an 8ga and that would only work if the power lead was no longer then about 8 ft.
However, without model numbers of anything I can't tell you what the RMS power of the amps is or if they are 1 2 or 4 channel amps, what the continuous power handling, [RMS] of the sub is.
I doubt the amp with the 20A fuse is more then 150W-200W RMS total, if the fuse on the amp "pops" as soon as it gets power it is a good bet the outputs are blown.
