Default Transmission Installation Help

I've got a 91 civic si and an si transmission that i need to put into it. I have a chilton's guide but don't 100% understand it. I've never really done anything that's this big of a deal myself but i can't afford to have somebody else do it. I would simply like to know if anybody knows any good resources that will assist me in doing this or if anybody themselves has any suggestions for me. thanks

in all honesty... if you have reasonable mechanical skills(like, know how something works by lookin at it) tranny's arent that hard really, really self explanitory... just look at whats connected and take that off... keep all engine mounts connected till the very end.

here. short list of things. take wheels off; take tierod off; lower balljoint off; big screwdriver, pop the axles out(pry inbetween the axle and the tranny); take starter off;shift linkage; clutch cable; then rear motor mount; support engine with a jack; then take pass side motor mount off the top of the tranny; remove all tranny bolts; lower the jack for the engine--angle the engine so you can pull the tranny out; pull tranny off

I am having some tranny issues with the EF I picked up recently and am considering putting a new used transmission in along with a clutch and axles.

Anyone know of a good online guide that shows you how to swap a transmission? I have limited space and tools but I do have a floor jack with two jack stands and parking spot.

The CRX workshop manual I have is saying you need to lift the engine and disconnect the dizzy and a bunch of other stuff. Is all that necessary?

What's the easiest way to change a tranny and clutch?

the how-to in the manual is pretty much self explanatory - if you can't follow it, you probably shouldn't be doing the job
