Default quick LS swap?

Okay so my new REX has a LS swap on it, it's a 5 speed...but no correct ECU (running virgin p28-auto )I wanted to know what ECU I should use pr4 (ls obd01) or p28(92-95)????Not looking for power or anything at the time just correct ECU for it to run correctly and drive drive it then worry about power later-later on. So can I just plug pr4 and be good or get p28 and get it chipped? What would you guys suggest? TIA

How is the car wired?

Is it wired for obd 0 or obd 1?

if you want a plug and play, put the computer thats suppost to be with the engine. but since you only stated obd1 computers, im assuming you switched to obd1... so run the p74. i thought pr4 was obd0?

REX is wired obd 1....so yeah like some one said I'm thinking I should run same ECU that's suppose to be with engine...but p74? which one's that? Yeah I was told that pr4 came in both obd 0 & 1....the motors from a 96 ls i believe so would that be obd 01 or would that something else? But call shop and they say to use p28 chipped so yeah...just want to know what's the easiest/cheapest (chipped p28 $300 )way plug and play to run motor correctly...LMK thanks

I would think so that the 96+ is odb 2 and yes someone did suggest me to use odb 1 from a 94-95 LS as well as p28 so just want to know like OP what's easier/cheaper ECU to run. Will check on year of engine but prev. onwer I thought I heard said 96 LS motor and is wired for odb 1. Thanks

I would have to agree only becasue if I get p28 that means more $$$ so should I just get pr4 obd 1???????Though later-later down the road I do want to go LS VTEC locally say virgine p28 going for $150-$180, $175 to get it chipped and $300 PREchipped...and pr4 obd 0 & 1 for $20-$80 bucks so pr4????plug and play and I'm good to go????LMK thanks
